Responsibility

Global Trophy Logistics handles the practical aspects of the import process on behalf of the customer, including communication with partners and relevant authorities. We work based on the information and documents received throughout the process and make every effort to ensure that the documentation is complete and accurate. If we become aware of obvious errors, omissions, or discrepancies in the documentation, we will notify the customer and—if possible—seek to resolve the issue in collaboration with the foreign party. However, this does not alter the fact that the ultimate responsibility for the legality of the import and the origin of the trophy rests at all times with the customer as the recipient and owner. Global Trophy Logistics cannot be held liable for the consequences of insufficient, deficient, invalid, or misleading documentation, including—but not limited to—rejections by authorities, insufficient documentation, customs detention, seizure, or criminal prosecution. In the event that Global Trophy Logistics faces claims, expenses, or penalties resulting from circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to seek full recourse from the customer.

Force Majeure

Global Trophy Logistics cannot be held liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing the agreement if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes—but is not limited to—natural disasters, war, strikes, epidemics, international sanctions, changes in documentation requirements, cyberattacks, system failures, or unexpected and unavoidable government interventions, such as suddenly imposed import bans, customs blockades, quarantine regulations, or administrative delays on the part of third countries. Regulatory decisions, including denials of CITES permits, revocations, or seizures, are considered force majeure only if the circumstances are not attributable to errors or omissions on the part of the customer, the agent, or us. In the event of force majeure, obligations shall be temporarily suspended, without either party being entitled to claim compensation for any resulting losses. In the event of a force majeure situation of prolonged duration (> 60 days), we reserve the right to terminate the agreement without liability.

Insurance

Global Trophy Logistics generally arranges transportation insurance for the trophy in connection with international shipping. The insurance covers damage, loss, and certain unforeseen events during transport from pickup in the country of origin to arrival in Denmark or another agreed-upon destination, all in accordance with the applicable insurance terms and conditions. This requires that the customer has submitted the necessary information in a timely manner, including an accurate and realistic valuation of the trophy. Insurance coverage is contingent upon this, and any underinsurance or incomplete information may result in the denial or limitation of compensation, as determined by the relevant insurance company. Coverage does not include damage or loss arising from invalid or missing permits, including CITES denials, detention by authorities, seizure, packaging errors, natural deterioration, or conditions related to biological material. The insurance also does not cover circumstances falling under force majeure, as defined in these terms and conditions. Any compensation will be paid in accordance with the insurance company’s assessment and may not exceed the stated insured amount. Upon request, the customer is entitled to receive a copy of the relevant insurance policy and the associated terms and conditions for the specific shipment.

Power of Attorney and Preliminary CITES

When importing from certain third countries where it is a legal requirement, Global Trophy Logistics uses a power-of-attorney model to submit a preliminary and/or final CITES import application on behalf of the customer. This applies specifically to the import of hunting trophies subject to CITES documentation requirements. In such cases, the customer will be asked to sign a power of attorney granting Global Trophy Logistics the right to submit the application on the customer’s behalf. It is emphasized that this practice does not constitute a general assumption of responsibility for the CITES documentation, but is used solely in cases where it is a prerequisite for the export and import to take place. The customer bears overall responsibility for the accuracy and validity of the documentation at all times.

Health Certificate, Chapter 6

We provide a blank copy of Chapter 6, Health Certificate, as a service tool. The document is provided “as is,” and we assume no liability for its completion, use, or the accuracy of its content. It is the user’s sole responsibility at all times to ensure that the completed health certificate complies with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
